Yuhan Song
Operations Lead

Yuhan is a graduate student at Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. She is a super dog person, and has a Corgi named Seven. She is also a fan of Kpop and Kdrama. She speaks Chinese, English and a little bit Korean. She has been working in the language industry ever since undergraduate school. She is excited to be a member of Camploc and looking forward to organizing events as an Operations Lead.

Sisi Li Bo
Company Outreach

Sisi Li is a first-year Translation and Localization Management student at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpretation with a minor in German Studies. She has work experience in debating, teaching, translation, and project management. After spending two years in the education industry, she decided to continue her studies and pursue a career in the language service industry. Sisi is excited to devote her passion and growing skill set to CampLoc. She is a badge-wearing cat lover who enjoys painting and sports in her free time. Sisi used to play for her college baseball team.

Chaoyue (June) Jiang
Company Outreach

June is a highly motivated MA candidate in Translation and Localization Management at MIIS with English and Chinese as the language pair, with a strong interest in localization, programming language, and management. Equipped with specific knowledge in economy and management which was taught by professors from Queens College in the City University of New York during her undergraduate, she found it an ongoing trend for employees to have the eligibility to combine business and technology with translation. She also worked as a translator and interpreter for Youku Tudou Inc, Netease, Food & Hospitality China, and several non-governmental organizations. She is interested in applying different CAT tools combined with programming languages and translation tasks. Her passion lies in the aspiration to invigorate and spark inspiration in the localization and management industry. She enjoys traveling around, playing piano, and reading in her spare time.

Raina Carroll
Marketing Lead

Raina Carroll is a first year master’s student in Translation and Localization Management from Baltimore, Maryland. Prior to MIIS, Raina achieved a bachelor’s degree in Romance Languages at New York University with a specialization in French and Spanish and a minor in linguistics. With experience in the sociolinguistics and education fields, Raina is excited to now be joining the localization world and hopes to utilize their new skills and knowledge in the games localization industry post-graduation. They’re excited to bring their passion for art and design to CampLoc, as well as to continue the efforts made in bridging the gap between students and professionals in localization. In their free time, Raina enjoys drawing and reading comics.

Shambhavi Shetye
(Former) Company Outreach

Shambhavi Shetye is a first-year student studying Translation and Localization Management at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. She speaks English, French, Marathi, Hindi, and Spanish. Before pivoting towards localization, Shambhavi worked in language teaching and curriculum development. When she is not discovering new languages, she loves to make watercolor paintings, and line drawings, listen to music from different countries, travel and take photographs of interesting things, and download (but not always read) way too many books on my kindle! As a budding localization professional, she wishes to make products and user experiences more inclusive by applying my understanding of language technology. Being a part of CampLoc, she looks forward to facilitating connections between my classmates and industry professionals.

Nora Arutyunyan
(Former) Company Outreach Assistant

I am a graduate student of Translation and Localization Management with a Russian-English language pair. My diverse background in opera, journalism, international relations, and language policy is closely related to different languages and cultures. Here at MIIS I study how to build and improve communication across the world and share this knowledge in CampLoc.

Min Chua
(Former) Operations Lead

Min hails from the sunny island of Singapore, where her previous professional background is in public relations, event management and corporate communications. She has also dabbled in English-Chinese subtitles and video translations for dramas and movies, born from a love for multilingual media and entertainment. Min is excited to be part of CampLoc and hopes to step up as a trusty Ops lead!

Georgiana Porter
(Former) Operations Assistant

Georgie is a second-year masters student, studying Translation and Localization management. To attend the Middlebury Institute, she drove cross-country with her dog all the way from New York City. Prior to grad school she was an English teacher in France, and then she worked in sales/ recruitment in New York. However, she missed the international aspect in her career and found her home in localization. She started her career at the same time as she started working as a localization project coordinator. After graduation, Georgie wants to leverage her communication skills, business acumen and technology skills as a project/ program manager in localization. In her free time she enjoys hiking, surfing, traveling, cooking, and trying new food with friends. She is excited to join CampLoc for the opportunity to foster connections and plan events that bring people together.

Aurora Wang
(Former) Finance & Company Outreach Assistant

Aurora is a 1st year Master’s in Translation and Localization Management Student with English and Chinese as the language pair. Born and raised in Shanghai, China, she went to the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN for college, studied abroad at Keio University in Tokyo, Japan, and graduated with a double major in Accountancy and Japanese. Aurora had three years of work experience as an international tax consultant where she actively assisted multinational companies with financial analysis and transfer pricing documentation and worked with cross-cultural teams. Aurora hopes to combine her prior experience in business analytics with her passion for languages to thrive in the localization industry. She enjoys traveling, karaoke, biking, and reading.

Manruo Lin
(Former) Marketing Lead

Manruo Lin is a Chinese to English translation and localization specialist who is passionate about languages and intercultural communication. She obtained double degrees at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS): Bachelor of Art in English (Advanced Translation) and Bachelor of Law in Legal Studies. She came to know about and became fascinated by the localization industry in the Media Localization class taken at GDUFS. Since then, she aimed to pursue her passion for languages in the field of localization; thus, she joined the Translation and Localization management (TLM) program at Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. Since she craves for accumulating hands-on experience in the industry, she chooses CampLoc which provides massive amounts of opportunities to great professional events.

Xingyue (Silver) Zhang
(Former) Marketing Co-Lead

Having graduated from Binghamton University with a BA degree in Language and Linguistics, Xingyue (Silver) Zhang is pursuing her MA degree in Translation, Localization, and Management at MIIS. Her working language pair is Chinese and English, but as an avid fan of Japanese animation and manga, she is also learning Japanese on her own. At MIIS, Silver embraces every opportunity to get in touch with new people and engage with cross-cultural experiences through localization. She is particularly interested in game localization and is eager to learn more about this field beyond the translation level. As a new member working on the marketing and designing side in CampLoc, she hopes to expand her social networking and apply various skills she learned in practice.nterey. Since she craves for accumulating hands-on experience in the industry, she chooses CampLoc which provides massive amounts of opportunities to great professional events.

Dustin Liaw
(Former) Tech Operations

Dustin Liaw works in Tech Ops at CampLoc. He is a Master’s candidate in Translation and Localization Management at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BS in Computer Science and a minor in Japanese. He has worked as a software engineer in a variety of fields, and uses his technical skills and experience to automate localization workflows as well as help others learn about coding. In his spare time he enjoys playing bass, watching basketball, and translating literature.

Youra Choi
(Former) Company Outreach Assistant

Youra holds a master’s degree in International Tourism Management from Paris 1 Sorbonne University. She obtained a bachelor’s degree from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, South Korea, having double majored in Spanish Studies and Cultural Contents. During and after her studies, she worked in various environments; Mexico (trade), France (startup), Korea(tech). Most recently she worked at a tech company where she operated for app localization management mainly targeting Mexican market and managing operations in several countries including Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan, etc. Now Youra is a candidate for a master’s degree in Translation and Localization Management and she is excited to join Camploc to build a bridge between students and industry professionals.

Sun Ah Park
(Former) Operations Assistant

Sun Ah Park is a candidate for a Master’s Degree in Translation and Localization Management at Middlebury Institute of International Studies. She also studied at Parsons School of Design for a Bachelor of Business Administration in Strategic Design and Management. 

Throughout her career, she built her experience in the localization of fashion companies, marketing, PR, and software. She has skills in desktop publishing, translation tools, and administrative management skills. She is a team person and likes to get involved in adventure for problem-solving. ​

She loves Pilates, and during her free time, she travels to explore and learn about other cultures.
